I’m delighted to be appointed as trustee of the Bucks Historic Churches Trust and to support its work in helping communities maintain their places of worship. I’ve had a varied career in the public and charitable sectors over nearly 40 years.
After qualifying as an accountant, I spent 20 years in local government working in authorities in Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire, before moving into the charitable sector, including working for Bucks Community Action and Community Impact Bucks. More recently I was Bursar at Ripon College Cuddesdon until 2023, a leading Church of England theological college, a role that included looking after several historic buildings.
I continue to work part time at the College as its accountant. Alongside this I was ordained in 2012 and am a self-supporting minister within the Risborough Ministry Team since 2016 (and before that in Wendover).
